After Committee meetings on zoom it seems that the only way for the club to continue until restrictions are lifted.

With this in mind, we ask for an initial subscription payment of £20 per person if you are able to join the Zoom meetings, [you are welcome to contribute more!!]
If you are non-zoomers, a £5 subscription payment will cover the cost of posting newsletters, which will keep you up to date with club events, including outings etc and invites to occasional zoom meetings.
Details will have been sent to members from the year 2019/2020.
Details of meetings will be posted on the website and on our facebook page Here.

My video/camera isn't working.

There is echo in my meeting.

Hope this helps and we hope to see you Tuesday evenings at 7:30pm in the next few weeks if you are a member.

A full schedule will be posted soon...

Following the advice of the Government’s Chief Medical Advisor, and given that the enforced lock-down will be in place for possibly, the next 6 months, I have made the sad decision that HOPC will not be meeting again in the foreseeable future – thus cancelling the Print/DPI of the Year competitions.

This means , regrettably, that the 2019/2020 season will be declared null and void, and there will be no AGM until further notice.

Although three DPI competitions have been held, only two Print competitions have taken place. Therefore, it would be unfair to announce possible category winners and, as such, NO awards will be made this year in EITHER media.

In the unlikely possibility of our annual exhibition being held in Priory Meadow, with the author’s permission, I will hold on to the entries handed in for the third Print competition, to be used as exhibits.

If any authors do not wish for their images to be shown, please let me know.

If you were awarded a trophy in any media category last year, please hold on to them until further notice, when we can arrange their safe return to the Club. (Unnecessary journeys etc).

Whilst I understand that this may be an unsatisfactory ending to the season, it is not a decision I have taken lightly, but the safety and well-being of our members is, without doubt, the most important factor.

Thank you for your understanding.

Stay well, stay safe , stay indoors.

Kind regards

Well done to everyone who entered the Print Competition last Tuesday.
There was one of our highest number of entries, which made for a really interesting event.
The judge spent time giving comments on every image, and said he was very impressed with the standard of the entries, to the point where he suggested some of the prints should be entered at a higher level, which was good to hear.

Still Life night had quite a few new members attend and quite a lot to photograph. Many members had brought items and sets along with lighting for other members to photograph. Chris was also doing a small tutorial for new members that wished to find out more about Depth Of Field and other members were around helping out others members questions

Another good evening enjoyed by all.

The majority of the nights presentation was taken up by the enthusiastic Tiffani Graveling, whom gave us a small in site into how she got her Degree with a wide genre but her real love is speeedway.

She has a real understanding of the sport and is a official photographer at Eastbourne's speedway in

Arlington, which Tiffani show us many wonderful photographs from the sport.
